Our Expertise

While Thrive Aesthetic and Anti-Aging Center focuses on a wide range of services and procedures, we are Oregon's leading authority on the LipoDissolve procedure to help you look slimmed and revitalized. Since 2004, our center has performed thousands of LipoDissolve treatments. Dr. Adam Maddox is an expert is the field of anti-aging medicine and was one of the first physicians in the Northwest to practice LipoDissolve and Mesotherapy, both of which are procedures that help reduce fat and cellulite on the body.

All services are performed, or directly supervised, by owner and medical director Dr. Adam Maddox. Our experienced staff is thoroughly trained, licensed and certified in the latest research-based treatments and services for aesthetics and anti aging.

Adam H. Maddox, N.D.

Dr. Adam Maddox, medical director – Dr. Maddox is a board-certified naturopathic physician with a specialty in the field of anti-aging medicine. Originally from the Chicago area, he graduated with honors from Northern Arizona University in pre-medical studies and chemistry. Following that, he moved to Portland to complete the four-year medical program at the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland.

In addition to aesthetic medicine, Dr. Maddox's areas of focus in treating disease include: heart disease, cancer, menopause, chronic diseases, diabetes, autoimmune diseases, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, pain management, headaches, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, common cold, flu, ear infections and other childhood illnesses.

Dr. Maddox is a popular public speaker and has been featured on KATU A.M. Northwest, on KPTV/Fox 12 and KGW/Channel 8 to discuss anti-aging and aesthetic medicine.

Erik D. Schoenberg, M.D.

At age thirteen, Dr. Schoenberg was inspired by the wonders of surgery when he witnessed a face lift procedure at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Hospital in New York City. Determined to blend his love for the art of the human face and talent for drawing portraits with his passion for science and technology, Dr. Schoenberg set sail on a career course into the technical detail of aesthetic facial plastic surgery.

After graduating Valedictorian from high school, Dr. Schoenberg entered a combined Bachelor of Arts/Medical Degree program at Boston University. While attending B.U. School of Medicine, he had the priviledge of working with some of the masters of facial plastic surgery at Harvard University where he received praise for his surgical skills. Later, while completing his residency in Head & Neck Surgery at New Jersey Medical School, Dr. Schoenberg received additional training from renowned facial plastic surgeons at Cornell University and at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Schoenberg continued to fine tune his surgery skills during a one and a half year Facial Plastic Surgery Fellowship at the prestigious Park Central Institute in St. Louis.

To keep abreast of state-of-the-art techniques and technology, Dr. Schoenberg continues to attend facial plastic surgery symposiums and seminars around the country.

Amy Bader, ND

Amy Bader, ND completed her Bachelor of Science at the University of California at Berkeley. Dr. Bader then earned her Naturopathic Doctorate, with honors, from the National College of Natural Medicine (NCNM) in Portland, Oregon. Upon graduation in June of 2000, she completed a family practice residency in the Portland area through NCNM.

Dr. Bader treats the whole body, not just particular symptoms. Her treatment plans generally include a combination of natural medicines and specific lifestyle changes designed to bring balance to every system of the body. She works with many different health issues and is particularly interested in treating challenging health problems such as hormone problems, autoimmune diseases, digestive problems, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, depression, and other chronic conditions. In addition, Dr. Bader has expertise in the treatment of obesity. She enjoys helping a patient optimize his or her metabolism in order to achieve long-term weight loss and optimal health.

In naturopathic medical school, Dr. Bader trained extensively in the areas of clinical nutrition, classical homeopathy, botanical medicine, counseling, physical medicine, as well as conventional medical treatments. She has completed extra coursework in the areas of women's health, immunology, nutrition, homeopathy, and counseling. Dr. Bader has also trained extensively in a European method of homeopathy called "biotherapeutic drainage".

Dr. Bader has been an adjunct clinical faculty member of NCNM overseeing naturopathic medical students at NCNM's clinic.
